RealChanges Limited

Serving the Greater Bristol Area & Beyond

RealChanges will assess the size, the current condition, and the current storage of the collection.  RealChanges will then make recommendations about organisation of the collection if needed, weeding if needed (duplicates etc), storage containers, and storage environment.

The Photographic Activity Test, or PAT, is a worldwide standard for archival quality in photograph enclosures.  The test predicts any possible interactions between photographs and their enclosures.  It is also used to test the components of the enclosures, such as adhesives, inks, labels, and tapes.

The materials used must not damage the object, so more than one type may be specified depending upon the range of objects.  RealChanges, for example will only place photographs in materials marked “Passed Photo Activity Test.”  Documents will be placed in enclosures that are pH neutral.
